Rhode Island: Blithewold Mansion Wedding!

My friends got married this past weekend, and had the most spectacular wedding! They had a beautiful ceremony in Bristol, RI and after they became husband and wife, we were brought to the Blithewold Mansion just down the road. All night long you could hear whispers of "Gatsby" from guests who were just as blown away by this place as I was! The mansion itself is situated on 70 acres of pure beauty. It is honestly one of the most breathtaking places I have been. My favorite part was the bamboo forest that led you to the display gardens. Past the display gardens, there was a vegetable garden (from which I got to sample some green beans!) and beyond that a little foot bridge in the middle of the water and rock gardens. Everything at this place had a hint of whimsy, especially the tree with the solar lit parasols, and made you feel as if you were in a movie. As if all of that isn't enough, the mansion overlooks a great lawn that sits upon the Narragansett Bay, so you get to watch as boats sail on by.

The weather Friday morning was looking a little iffy, it even rained a little, but the clouds parted just enough to give way to a gorgeous evening with one of the most spectacular sunsets I've seen. Once the sunset, and dinner was had, we danced the night away with great friends and had the most amazing time.
